SUMMARY:"Looking Through Water"
DESCRIPTION:Based on the novel LOOKING THROUGH WATER by Buffalo businessman Bob Rich! \nStarring Cameron Douglas\, Michael Stahl-David\, Walker Scobell\, two-time Academy Award winner\, Michael Douglas\, and Emmy nominated\, David Morse\, Looking Through Water crosses generations tied together in past and present through the love of fly fishing. \n \nStarts September 26th! \nGet tickets HERE. \nWilliam McKay is a wealthy\, hardened tycoon whose carefully built world implodes when a public betrayal at an award gala exposes the possibility of a hostile takeover of his company. With his reputation in question\, William receives an unexpected call from his estranged father\, Leo\, who invites him to a father-son fishing tournament in San Pedro\, Belize. \nStill seething from childhood abandonment\, William reluctantly agrees and arrives wearing a tuxedo and a fog of scotch. There\, he meets Cole\, his father’s blunt fishing guide with a secret of his own\, and Julia\, a local doctor whose kindness and wit unsettle his defenses. Through sun-drenched waters\, clumsy casts\, and sharp arguments\, William and Leo navigate the waters and the intricacies of family relationships while slowly rediscovering a bond neither thought possible. \nIntercut with this past is the present-day story of William\, now older\, taking his bruised and bitter grandson\, Kyle\, on a fishing trip of their own. As William shares the events of that life-changing week\, he reaches across time to help Kyle navigate pain\, anger\, and the ache of broken family ties. \nWoven with humor\, heartbreak\, and healing\, Looking Through Water is a generational drama about the scars fathers leave\, the bridges sons can rebuild\, and the quiet redemption found in second chances\, on and off the water.

SUMMARY:"Checkpoint Zoo"
DESCRIPTION:“Beautiful and beyond moving.”\n– CNN \n \nScreening 10/4-9th! \nGet tickets HERE. \nIn the early days of the Russian-Ukrainian war Kharkiv\, the country’s second largest city\, was turned into a warzone. On one side of the battlefield was the invading Russian army\, on the other side\, the defending Ukrainians\, and caught in between them\, was a zoo called Feldman Ecopark. \nMore than just a zoo\, Feldman Ecopark was an animal sanctuary that offered countless therapy programs to everyone from soldiers with PTSD to children with special needs. As the war ravaged on\, and the shelling increased\, it was clear that the bravery of the staff wouldn’t be enough to save the animals trapped inside. With the help of four young volunteers\, these zookeepers would undertake a seemingly impossible mission – they would risk life and limb to evacuate over 5\,000 animals\, including scores of dangerous predators\, and deliver them to safety. \nDrawing from first-hand footage\, Award-winning filmmaker Joshua Zeman’s Checkpoint Zoo showcases a story of human compassion\, bravery\, and sacrifice during Ukraine’s darkest hours. shining a light on the best of humanity when it is all too easy to focus on the worst.

SUMMARY:"The 46ers"
DESCRIPTION:For a limited time\, The 46ers Film is returning to the big screen to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the documentary and the 100th anniversary of Herbert Clark and the Marshall Brothers’ completing their 46 and becoming the first 46ers. \n \nScreening 11:30am Saturday\, October 4th! \nGet tickets HERE. \nIn August of 2012\, Director Blake Cortright summited Mount Marcy (New York’s tallest peak) for the first time.
