SUMMARY:"Doctor Detroit"
DESCRIPTION:“Ladies and gentlemen\, players and ladies\, high-lifes and low-lifes\, all you trash with cash\, allow me to announce the Doctor is IN!” \nClifford Skridlow’s newest profession is the oldest profession in Doctor Detroit\, a chaotic comedy starring the one and only Dan Aykroyd. \nFeaturing appearances by James Brown and a young Fran Drescher! \n“If it starred Jerry Lewis\, the French would write a book about it….Dan Aykroyd enjoys himself and brings along a certain mad detachment.”\n— Roger Ebert \n \n \nFRI August 9th at 9:35 PM\nSAT August 10th at 9:35 PM\nSUN August 11th at 9:55 PM \nWhen fast-talking pimp Smooth Walker (Howard Hesseman\, WKRP In Cincinnati) finds himself in hot water with Chicago crime boss Mom (Kate Murtagh)\, he claims that there’s a new player in the game: Doctor Detroit\, a cat who’s badder than bad … and completely fictitious. In need of a patsy until the heat dies down\, Smooth hits paydirt with mild-mannered professor Clifford Skridlow (Aykroyd) — and promptly skips town\, leaving his bevy of sexy “employees” in Clifford’s hapless hands. \nCharmed by the ladies and spurred by his dedication to chivalry\, Clifford agrees to become their protector and ally\, transforming himself from a power-walking professor to a heroic hustler … and throwing down the gauntlet to save his college from financial ruin and the four damsels from the wrath of Mom!

SUMMARY:"The Golden Voyage of Sinbad"
DESCRIPTION:“The effects aren’t simply fascinating for their own sake — they genuinely convey a sense of the magical and otherworldly.”\n— TimeOut \nSet sail for adventure with this dazzling 1973 showcase of Ray Harryhausen’s stop-motion magic. Featuring Doctor Who himself\, Tom Baker\, as the evil Prince Koura! \n“[Harryhausen’s work] is kind of like Frankenstein or Pinocchio. It’s taking an inanimate object and having it come to life […] That’s why I still like to do stop-motion projects because it’s just really exciting and it energizes not only you but the other artists working on it.”\n— Tim Burton \n \n \nSAT August 10th at 11:30 AM\nSUN August 11th at 11:30 AM \nThis is a spectacular adventure set in mysterious ancient lands inhabited by incredible creatures! Sinbad (John Phillip Law)\, Prince of Baghdad and legendary sailor\, finds an intriguing map and sets sail for the previously uncharted island of Lemuria with a beautiful slave girl\, Margiana (Caroline Munro)\, and the Grand Vizier of the land of Marabia. \nPrince Koura (Tom Baker)\, an evil wizard who is trying to gain control of malevolent spirits\, follows in an effort to thwart Sinbad’s quest. Sinbad reaches Lemuria in spite of an enchantment Koura casts upon the giant figurehead of Sinbad’s ship\, which brings it to life. \nOn Lemuria\, Sinbad and his stalwart crew encounter a six-armed\, sword-brandishing statue\, a one-eyed centaur and a griffin. Finally\, Sinbad confronts Koura in a face-to-face duel to the death!
