SUMMARY:"Whisper of the Heart" DUBBED
DESCRIPTION:It’s a full week of Ghibli! \nDon’t miss your chance to catch this underseen Ghibli masterpiece on the big screen. \n“Beautiful and evocative; a fine tale of adolescent yearning and aspiration.”\n— Anime News Network \n \n \nFRI July 19th at 1:45 PM DUBBED\nSAT July 20th at 1:45 PM SUBTITLED\nSUN July 21st at 11:30 AM DUBBED\nSUN July 21st at 4:45 PM SUBTITLED\nMON July 22nd at 9:45 PM DUBBED\nTUE July 23rd at 2:00 PM DUBBED\nWED July 24th at 7:00 PM SUBTITLED\n \nShizuku Tsukishima is a bit of a bookworm\, spending her last summer vacation in junior high school reading and translating popular foreign music into Japanese. With aspirations to one day become a writer\, Shizuku can’t help but notice that the name Seiji Amasawa appears on every one of the books she borrows from the library. Through a series of curious and magical incidents\, she comes to meet Seiji and discovers he has dreams of becoming a famous violin maker in Italy. \nWhile their life-long goals pull them in two different directions\, Shizuku and Seiji are determined to remain true to their strong feelings for one another. A delightful romantic comedy that has all the classic Ghibli hallmarks of reality meets fantasy. Plus\, perhaps most importantly\, a talking German cat statuette called The Baron. \nThe first\, and sadly\, the only film to be directed by Studio Ghibli’s up-and-coming talent\, Yoshifumi Kondou – who passed away only a few years after its release.

SUMMARY:"Spirited Away" DUBBED
DESCRIPTION:It’s a full week of Ghibli! \nDon’t miss your chance to see what many fans consider Hayao Miyazaki’s crowning achievement on the big screen. \n“SPIRITED AWAY is one of the greatest animated films ever made.” – Steven Spielberg \n \n \nFRI July 19th at 4:15 PM DUBBED\nSAT July 20th at 4:15 PM SUBTITLED\nSUN July 21st at 2:00 PM SUBTITLED\nMON July 22nd at 7:00 PM SUBTITLED\nTUE July 23rd at 7:00 PM DUBBED\nWED July 24th at 9:30 PM SUBTITLED\nTHU July 25th at 9:30 PM SUBTITLED \nHayao Miyazaki’s Academy Award®-winning masterpiece “Spirited Away” was the biggest box office hit of all time in Japan and helped redefine the possibilities of animation for American audiences and a generation of new filmmakers. Chichiro thinks she is on another boring trip with her parents. \nBut when they stop at a village that is not all that it seems\, her parents undergo a mysterious transformation\, and Chihiro is whisked into a world of fantastic spirits\, shape-shifting dragons and a witch who never wants to see her leave. \nShe must call on the courage she never knew she had to free herself and return her family to the outside world. Combining Japanese mythology with “Alice in Wonderland”-type whimsy\, “Spirited Away” cemented Miyazaki’s reputation as an icon of animation and storytelling. \nDubbed in English on October 29 and subtitled on October 30\, this special two-day event will also feature GKIDS Mini-Fest\, an ongoing festival of the best animated shorts from around the world.

SUMMARY:"Porco Rosso" SUBTITLED
DESCRIPTION:It’s a full week of Ghibli! \nPORCO ROSSO’s aerial acrobatics and exciting dogfights make it a big screen MUST. Rarely seen in theaters! \n“The most underrated film from the Studio Ghibli catalogue.” – Left Field Cinema \n \n \nFRI July 19th at 7:00 PM SUBTITLED\nSAT July 20th at 11:20 AM DUBBED\nSAT July 20th at 7:00 PM DUBBED\nSUN July 21st at 9:50 PM SUBTITLED\nMON July 22nd at 2:00 PM DUBBED\nTUE July 23rd at 4:30 PM SUBTITLED\nWED July 24th at 4:30 PM DUBBED\nTHU July 25th at 4:35 PM DUBBED\nTHU July 25th at 9:40 PM SUBTITLED \nIn 1930s Italy\, air pirates\, bounty hunters\, and high flyers of all sorts rule the skies. The most cunning and skilled of these pilots is Porco Rosso\, a man cursed with the head of a pig. He now makes a living taking jobs\, such as rescuing those kidnapped by air pirates. \nDonald Curtis\, Porco’s rival in the air and in catching the affections of women\, provides a constant challenge to the hero\, culminating in a hilarious\, action-packed finale. A rollicking adventure\, set to a Mediterranean backdrop and replete with beautifully orchestrated dogfights – Hayao Miyazaki offers up perhaps his most blockbuster-esque feature in PORCO ROSSO… But even still\, manages to retain all the heart and magic of classic Ghibli.

SUMMARY:"Whisper of the Heart" SUBTITLED

SUMMARY:"Spirited Away" SUBTITLED

SUMMARY:"Spirited Away" SUBTITLED
