“The Worst Witch” on VHS – Tim Curry Tribute
“Anything can happen on Halloween…!” π
VHS on the big screen!
Join us for this special tribute to Tim Curry with an incredibly RARE screening of his beloved 1986 Halloween TV classic, THE WORST WITCHβscreening in VHS on the big screen!
Ideally when we schedule a classic film title, the movie distributor sends us a pristine, recently restored 4K DCP digital file. In the case of THE WORST WITCH, the film was finished using a combination of video and film elements in 1986 for British television. A beautifully remastered version does not exist, and may never exist.
Instead, we’ll be screening it the way many of you probably remember it: on VHS, playing on a vintage VCR hooked up to our 4K laser projector.
You won’t see THE WORST WITCH like this anywhere else, from London to Idaho!

Mildred Hubble is one of the young girls at a prestigious witch academy. She can’t seem to do anything right and is picked on by classmates and teachers. The headmistress of the school, Miss Cackle, has an evil twin sister, Agatha, who plans to destroy the school. Can Mildred foil the plan before the Grand Wizard comes to the Academy for the Halloween celebration you’ll never forget?
